Privacy, in plain words.
This policy explains what the exoTV website collects, why, and how to ask us to delete it. It covers exotvapp.com and the download pages hosted here.
What we collect
The site does not require an account, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers. We do not build profiles of visitors.
Support messages
When you send the support form we store the name, optional Telegram username, device type, topic, message and page language. We also store a hashed IP address (HMAC-SHA256) and the browser user agent to protect the form from abuse. The raw IP address is never stored with the message.
Server logs
Like most websites, the server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, requested page, time) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used for advertising.
Local storage and cookies
- exotv-lang: a local storage key that remembers your language choice (Arabic or English). It stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
- exotv_sid: an essential session cookie created only when you open the support form or the admin area. It keeps the security token valid and is not used for tracking.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts: the page loads Arabic and English fonts from Google servers, which receive your IP address when the font is requested.
- Telegram: our channel link opens Telegram, where Telegram's own privacy policy applies.
- Google Play and Downloader: installing the Downloader app or the APK goes through those services and their policies.
Why we keep it and for how long
Support messages are kept until the request is resolved and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Server logs rotate automatically. You can ask us to delete a support message at any time.
Security
Messages are stored in files outside the public web root with access restricted to the support team. The form uses a CSRF token, a honeypot field, rate limiting and request size limits. No system is completely secure, but we keep the data we hold as small as possible.
Your choices
You can clear the language preference from your browser settings, decline cookies in your browser (the support form may stop working), and ask us to delete a support message. To make a request, contact support and mention it is a privacy request.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated date below changes too. For any privacy question, contact the support team through the form or Telegram.
